Une variation compare le dernier jour publié au jour exact un, sept ou trente jours avant, ou affiche « pas de lecture » quand ce jour n’a pas été publié. Les membres sont les noms du panier qui ont du volume sur Skinport ; les couverts sont ceux qui ont un historique Steam. Un indice marqué en construction n’a pas encore publié son premier jour et se calcule en arrière-plan ; un indice marqué pas encore d’historique a terminé sans qu’aucun de ses membres soit dans la collecte d’historique Steam, et se remplit à mesure que la collecte les atteint. Comment chaque indice est-il construit ?
Pour chaque nom du panier, le prix de l’historique des ventes Steam est divisé par son premier prix enregistré : chaque nom part donc de 100 à son propre premier jour. L’indice d’un jour, c’est la médiane de ces ratios multipliée par 100, sur tous les membres qui ont un prix ce jour-là. Un panier, ce sont les membres du catalogue d’une catégorie ou d’une rareté, la liste des caisses, ou une collection ; une collection a besoin de vingt membres avec un prix pour avoir un indice, comme ça une collection de cinq skins ne publie jamais une courbe qu’une seule vente peut faire basculer.
Pourquoi le dernier jour est-il en retard sur le calendrier ?
Le jour UTC en cours est laissé de côté, et un jour a besoin d’au moins trois noms qui y contribuent. L’historique Steam arrive nom par nom, donc un indice peut avoir quelques jours de retard, et une variation affiche « pas de lecture » quand le jour de comparaison exact n’a pas été publié. L’indice composite principal est sur le rapport de marché, avec la lecture peur et avidité et les plus fortes variations.
