CS2 trade-ups by collection

Ten skins of one grade go in, one skin of the next grade comes out, from the collections the inputs came from. Each input gives its collection a tenth of the odds, and inside a collection every outcome is equally likely. Consumer to Industrial is the bottom step, Classified to Covert the top one; the five-Covert contract for a knife is a different contract, per case.

The outcome's float is not the average of your floats. The game places each input inside its own skin's float range, averages those positions, then maps the average into the outcome's range. The cheapest listing in a wear sits at the worst float of that wear, which is why each collection page shows where the cheapest ten actually land.

What is a trade-up contract in CS2?

A contract that swaps ten skins of one grade for one skin of the next grade up, drawn from the collections the ten came from. StatTrak inputs give a StatTrak outcome, and all ten have to match on that.

How many CS2 collections can you trade up in?

92 collections have at least one step, 315 steps in all: Consumer Grade to Industrial Grade: 38 collections; Industrial Grade to Mil-Spec Grade: 46 collections; Mil-Spec Grade to Restricted: 88 collections; Restricted to Classified: 78 collections; Classified to Covert: 65 collections.

Can you mix collections in one trade-up?

Yes. Each input hands its own collection a tenth of the odds, then the outcome is drawn evenly inside the collection that wins. Seven from one and three from another is a 70/30 split between the two pools.

Does the float of my inputs matter?

Yes. The game places each input inside its own skin's range, averages those positions and maps the result into the outcome's range, so inputs that sit low in their own ranges land a cleaner outcome, whatever their raw floats say.
