CS2 skin market report

The current UTC day is excluded. A day needs at least three contributing names. Trailing days are held back when their contributor count is below 90% of the best count in the latest 14 eligible observations, while retaining at least one observation. Steam history arrives name by name, so the published date can lag the calendar. A 30-day change compares dates exactly 30 calendar days apart and is unavailable if the baseline is missing.

Two reads of the same day's Steam asks, nothing else. Breadth is the share of names that advanced against the day before, ignoring moves under 0.2%. The extremes read counts names closing at a fresh high against a fresh low over the recorded window. The score is six tenths breadth and four tenths extremes, on a 0 to 100 line where under 40 reads fear and over 60 reads greed. It is a description of the tape, not a forecast.

Each official basket is the catalogue's members of one category, rarity or the cases list. Its breadth is the share of members whose Steam 7-day sold median sits above their 90-day median. Its change is the median of the members' Skinport 7-day against 30-day sold medians, published only with at least three priced members. Every index has its own page with the chart and the constituents.

A mover's percentage is (Skinport 7-day sold median ÷ 30-day sold median − 1) × 100. The euro price beside it is the 7-day sold median before selling fees. Only names with at least 50 Skinport sales in 90 days qualify. The overlapping windows measure relative sold-price levels, not a seven-day investment return or a current asking price.

21% of this snapshot's eligible skins (541 of 2520) have a positive Skinport 7-day versus 30-day sold-median change, rounded to 0.1%. The sample includes tracked skins with a usable cash ask, Skinport 7-, 30- and 90-day medians, and at least five Skinport sales in seven days. It does not represent every CS2 skin or marketplace.

For each Valve post the index's median over the seven days after is compared with the seven days before. Both sides need at least three published days, or the post gets no read. The same measure taken on every day of the series is the baseline a post has to beat; a falling market makes every post look damaging otherwise. Correlation with a date, not proof the post moved anything. Every update has its own page with the read and the post.
